Privacy
We keep as little about you as we can. There is no advertising and there are no trackers.
Your email address stays private
You join with your email address, and we use it only to confirm your account and to send a link when you ask for a new password. It is never shown on the site and never shared with anyone: not with other members, not with moderators, not with advertisers. It is stored encrypted, and even the moderators' screens cannot show it.
What we store
- Your account. Your email address (encrypted), your member name, your bio, your message setting and a scrambled copy of your password that cannot be turned back into it.
- A sign-in cookie. A random key called
inl_skeeps you signed in for 30 days. We store only a one-way hash of it. - What you post. Threads, replies and chat messages, with your member name and the time. The chat keeps only the latest 200 messages.
- Private messages. Only you and the person you write to can read them. A moderator sees one only if the person who received it reports it.
- A scrambled network address. To stop spam and to enforce bans, we store a one-way hash of your IP address next to each post and message. We cannot turn it back into your address. It is erased after 30 days.
- Reports and blocks. If you report a message, we keep the reason and a short copy of the message. If you block someone, we keep that so they cannot write to you.
Who processes it
The site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person when you join or sign in, and Cloudflare's AI models screen new messages for harmful content. Account emails are delivered by Resend, which receives only the address and the email itself. We do not sell or share your data.
Your choices
Everything you post in the forums and the chat is public under your member name, so please do not post anything that identifies you. If you want something taken down, report it and choose “Something else”; a moderator will remove it.
You can turn off private messages, change your bio or password, and delete your account at any time in your settings. Deleting removes your email, your password, your private messages and your sign-ins at once. Posts you made stay up, signed “Former member”.
